When doing your job is the least profitable part of being an elected official, it's safe to say we'll never see much of it.

A lot of money was invested in this administration by way of "donations" from CEOs with the eventual goal of enriching themselves further. If you want to resist, find the things you can do without and hit them where it hurts: their market value.

A few extra days of shipping. A few moments of boredom filled by personal hobbies instead of binging or scrolling. That's a start.

Our entertainment fills the pockets of the people who fuel a corrupt government. Seek alternatives. Shop small. Question what you really need to spend your money on.

For example. Ask yourself if you can survive without Netflix. If you can survive without Facebook. If you can survive without Disney+. If you can survive without Twitter. etc.

This may sound obvious, but too many people have told me "Amazon is just so convenient" "It's the only place I can get..."

I've been learning Japanese over the past couple years specifically because I wanted to be able to play and read untranslated games from Japan. I've been using Animal Crossing on N64 to benchmark my progress with reading. So I fire it up frequently and see how well I can follow along lol
