Today I discovered a great set of BPA resources for early-career philosophers on publishing, grants/fellowships, and job apps, with loads of sample materials like cover letters, research statements, etc.

Do share with those who might find these useful!

The same happened to me! It was a really annoying feature of icloud. Also, then there were these loops with other people who had out-of-office emails—one being a really intimidating professor

I‘m reading yet another mcdowell - wright debate, is there any topic those two didn‘t but heads?

Interesting. I think one way to go would be to have *much* better behavioural definition. Like having a stab at an actual definition like „attention means orienting PLUS tendency to look towards the object PLUS tendency to behave that involve that object etc.“

Has anyone read the late Christoper Hookway's book on scepticism?

Great first person account of what it's like to be a teen and young adult living with a psychiatric diagnosis.

Also reads like an ad for psychosocial rehabilitation.

Rich Girl Rehab
The “Borderline” Years

A memorable guest post by Sorbie Richner on the experience and aftermath of residential psychiatric treatment when she was 20, and what she learnt about diagnoses, treatments, and recovery in the process.

Does everyone feel like their national team is loosing unfairly? Or do we (Switzerland) actually loose unfairly an annoying amount of times?

🚨🚨🚨Blockbuster paper out today! Bear with me as I explain why this one is so important.

🤔 The *economic* anger about immigration is based on the false notion that immigrants take jobs or lower wages. A major misunderstanding behind this view is that immigrants only increase the supply of labor.

Very pleased to finally get this out:

I show how fictional examples can (subject to certain conditions) function like real case studies in providing evidence about the social world.

And in certain areas of philosophy, fictional examples can even offer unique benefits.
