May all beings be happy
All beings without exception
Weak or strong, omitting none
Great or mighty, seen & unseen
Near & far
Born or yet unborn
May all beings be happy
Let no one deceive another
Or despise anyone anywhere
Or in anger wish another harm
May all beings be happy

Trump might have immunity, but ICE does not.

He won’t be able to protect federal agents from criminal and civil prosecution once he’s gone.

Their day of reckoning will come. Broken down here…

Just bone chilling. And when the imprisonment of critics is combined with his offer to enrich and immunize his loyalists, this is how democracies die fast.

But it's still our choice. Don't let him silence you.

The only day he got stinking drunk, pious Pastor Paul Pope also played poker. Won, lost, won, then lost badly. After he played away his gold watch, he got challenged to a last game: "If you lose, I get to name your firstborn." That’s how his daughter ended up with the name Libertine Pope. #vss365

"But not in Canada" is a book that opened my eyes back in the early 80s. I love Canada, and parts of it is nice and polite but OMG that's not the whole story.

"Contemporary music is far from a monolith. But if its reputation is sometimes that of a vegetable to be endured before a 19th-century dessert, that might have something to do with Boulez’s peers …"

Sometimes I really wonder why Caucasians are called "white." I look at my skin and it ain't white. The parts that are exposed to the sun are light brown and the rest a lighter colour that you could call beige. Really, we're all brown, just to a greater or lesser degree. Racism is weird.

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

Hand drumming on every surface—steering wheel, tables, grocery cart.

Get excited when, in the noise of the mall, you hear the perfect high-hat rhythm. Only to find that it's coming from a coffee machine.
