I can only hope that the highest levels of the US government running the same playbook they ran on Trayvon Martin and George Floyd and countless others on Renee Good is clarifying for some people out there

Absolutely nothing going on in there. It's actually eerie
Tapper to Noem: "I just showed you video of people attacking law enforcement officers on J6. Trump pardoned them all. You said Trump is enforcing all the laws equally. That's just not true. There's a different standard for LEOs being attacked if they're being attacked by Trump supporters."

This is stunning. Listen to this in Philadelphia.

Thousands singing “Hey-Oh, we won’t be silent while our friends are gunned down.”

Really listen to it.

One thing about Minneapolis is most everyone knows where to go and what to do. I don’t generally see locals doom-posting. They’re out at vigils and protests or running mutual aid. My block leader and neighbors have already disseminated information about where to direct resources, effort, and energy.

"how you treat people is who are are" is a WORD this evening.
If being disrespectful to black women is a means to your supposed antifascist end, fuck you and your revolution.

How you treat people is who you are.

I think it's probably fair at this point to say that ICE is getting dogshit recruits and giving them minimal, dogshit training if anything. And so hypothetically speaking what happens when they run into people who aren't unarmed students and schoolteachers who they've ambushed

Had to mute the Jesse Ventura thread because everyone on the planet decided to make it into his complete CV but would not check to see if any particular career choice he made had already been added

We visited Renee Good's memorial.

There, we met a group of Somali Minnesotans — who too have been viciously attacked for weeks — warmly hosting everyone.

Flowers & stuffed animals galore.
Neighbors continually offering sambusas & hand-warmers & water.
Grief. And belief.

not that long ago there were new videos every day of cops maiming and beating the shit out of protesters with gleeful abandon, and not only did “defund the police” get written off as extreme, joe biden got elected and proudly gave them even more money. it’ll easily happen again
there’s really no reason to think anyone who supported anything short of abolishing ice the past ten years isn’t going to go straight back to We Just Need Better Training when a dem is in office again. better to make that politically untenable before the campaigns even officially start
