Mushed together some inspiration of fossil evidence of predator skeletons with visible tail spike damage from stegosaurus and modern wildlife photography of deer going about with the stuck heads of rivals on their antlers-macabre but fits the month! #paleoart #paleosky #stegosaurus
Stegosaurus ungulatus with the stuck skull of a ceratosaurus on its tail spikes. Small anurognathid pterosaurs fly about the ceratosaur skull, roosting inside and feeding on the insects attracted by the decomposing head.

Means a lot! I put a lot of time into designing a color scheme that felt appropriately “toxic” but still like something an animal could naturally arrive at- and to your point about dino defense structures, I think the color scheme really reinforces the “fuck off” look of the overall animal!
