The new findings of Alina Ritter showcase that this approach may be especially feasible for metastatic disease since an impirtant viral docking site is highly expressed in metastatic lesions and even contributes to metastasis in #Ewing #sarcoma.

Based on the neomorphic DNA-binding capabilities of the Ewing sarcoma-specific EWSR1::ETS fusion oncoproteins, our expression constructs can deliver specifically produg convertases, (neo)-antigens, and cytokines to induce cell death only in Ewing cells, i.e. turn a 'cold' tumor 'hot'.
