Kerryn is a trained secondary teacher, specializing in English as a second language in Solomon Islands for almost 10 yrs. Kerryn was also a lecturer in Education at USP. Kerryn has recently been appointed as the Te Tomokanga Post-Doctoral Fellow with us here in Pacific Studies. /4

Kerryn is passionate about protecting Indigenous languages, customs and cultures; hence, her PhD study focused on Vernacular Education in Solomon Islands. /3

Kerryn will focus on how positive relationships with the community members and a sense of belonging to the community were central to her doctoral fieldwork research methodology. /2
