Who runs the program? Easy, Medicaid. We can collapse Medicaid and Medicare into each other to save money, and putting everyone else in will further reduce risk. Further, they already have the infrastructure. Private insurance can still play a role, a la French/British system.

I agree with you, but until SCOTUS says 6-3 that antitrust laws don't matter if they intrude on the right of association of regulated entities

Someone needs to bring a constitutional challenge a la SpaceX v. NLRB against EOIR. The same double protection against removal that's at play in NLRB, is at play with EOIR.
The issue will be harm. I'm unsure that the removability of these IJs by the next administration rises to the lvl needed.

Pretty sure this will happen to a LOT of ICE and CBP agents who have been recently hired if things return to normal. Last time standards were relaxed in the aughts, narco affiliated people were the ones who got the job.
