Ask Mitch fucking McConnell.
Ask the Roberts majority of the SCOTUS who said presidents named Trump are immune from prosecution.

Isn't that the way in Trumpland? By flooding the zone with enough shit, threats and baseless allegations, you make it impossible for decent, competent officials to function and they eventually reach a point of saying 'F this, I'm out'

America does not now have a president bound by or interested in his Oath of Office, the U.S. Constitution, or even American traditions writ large. Anything he does to benefit America is merely incidental—and not the thrust of his mission.

Accept that and you understand this era.

Special thanks to Mitch McConnell. Fucking up the world's timeline for your petty self-interest is a hell of a legacy

If he's smart, he will move to some nice blue state that allows convicted felons to retain their voting rights

Don't worry. I'm sure the $Trump family stiffed the artist who made it.

Trump would only spend $2.5 million to hush a sexual assault claim, but not for art

Unlike with Festivus, Trumpmas doesn't limit the airing of greviences to one day a year

2/2 the end result was less independent reporting and more reliance on police public affairs, which more interested in making the department look good than telling the truth. Classic example is the initial PD media statement on George Floyd

In days of yore when I was a cop reporter, I'd spend all day listening to a scanner and running out to scenes of one calamity or another. In the last decade, most departments digitized their radio transmissions, which shuts down the press and public from listening in. 1/2

I dare say the 95% may be on the low side. Papers have phased out actual police/fire and court reporting to save $$. In my local paper, cop news is copy-&-pasted from Facebook posts. Reporting from the scene of a murder, major accident, fire or trial largely doesnt exist anymore.
