my aim is still to drop this on the 40th anniversary of top gun i.e. 16 may 2026. assuming a month for editing, i’m also at half distance now. 5.5 months since starting, 5.5 months to completion date. likely to come in at 340,000 words, unless i truly lose the plot (uhh, more than i already have).
