Is Niall Ferguson a bad historian or a bad economist?
But I’m not surprised to see few if any historians or people in the humanities; they don’t fund labs or a half-dozen post-docs or two dozen research assistants with private grant money. They’re less likely to be supplicants to billionaires

The Security Starter Pack from EFF is good, except that I would personally recommend staying away from WhatsApp (or any Meta platform), consider the use of "burner" phone numbers for Signal, and do not use Tor but use safer alternatives like Freenet

(It may surprise many of you reading to find that in essence *all* cr\yptoc\urrency is effectively Prime95 or Folding@Home for purposes of creating Monopoly money instead of something with a sum benefit to all of humanity, like improving encryption or finding better treatments for diseases)

And it gets worse--Apparently the guy behind the app was an actual accelerationist sort who's served prison time and pled down from federal explosives charges, AND didn't inform people of the breach promptly (meaning there is a DISTINCT possibility StopICE served as a honeypot)

If you use a phone to monitor ICE-holes, it is strongly recommended that this be a "burner", bought with cash if possible, SIM card bought in a separate location with cash if possible, and the only apps installed being *vetted for security* reporting apps & only contacts on phone for attorneys
