Convincing myself that if Edith and Ida Mary Ammons could move from Chicago in 1907 to a homestead in South Dakota with no knowledge of how to farm, where to get water, how to hunt, really any frontier survival skills and ~thrive~, I can write a 2000 word fellowship app 🥲

Back in July I was set to move out of my rodent-infested former apartment. I went on a trip the first week of July. I returned to begin my move… only to discover the place had be take over by fleas, no doubt from the rodents that were not being addressed by the landlord. 1/
