I got a paid subscription for Teen Vogue a few years back, despite being 60, because it was the best political coverage I could find. They really wrote about the issues young people were facing and the future of the country. I'm more than a little heartbroken to hear this.

I do. Let me ping you when I get started audio booking. Need to do some more drafting and revisions before I get to that project.

Also, thinking about self-narrating my Liliana books for audio. I do public readings and folks always like how I do the voices and such. If you've got any useful tips or gotchas to avoid, I'd love to hear them.

Yeah, I'm in same boat. Too much to do. But since a fair amount of that is getting words on figurative paper, I figure this will help me get some of it done.

There’s definitely a found family, cozy adjacent feel to it, but there’s a lot of fast-paced intense action that doesn’t fit the cozy fantasy vibe.

It’s set a few decades in the future, but it’s more of an #urbanfantasy than sci fi. The first book is largely about Liliana stepping out of her near shut-in comfort zone and making some real friends, then risking her neck to keep those friends from becoming chopped meat.
