Hayter being higher ranked than Athena has me puzzled. What's the criteria you're going for?

While Briscoe did great with Fletcher and Ricochet, I throw Mark Briscoe into it because very few took him seriously to beat Max in that match. As a tag king, yes. Solo top guy? No. As evidence, final betting line with oddsmakers was Max at -800.

We're gonna have to agree to disagree on that one.

You're right about Garcia. I remembered it incorrectly. The chatter at the time was that Garcia was going to beat him at All Out but refused to sign a new contract beforehand, so they changed it. Good call. My bad.

Not sure what you mean about him not putting over guys that aren't already over. He put over Daniel Garcia and Mark Briscoe clean. Biggest win in both men's career.

I think the character is funny in small doses. That being said, it would be a lie if I said that I even noticed he wasn't around. He feels too gimmicky for more. Not as bad as the pizza dough guy.

Yeah, that dude has no idea what he's talking about.

- Death Riders mutiny
- Potential return of Ospreay
- Fallout of Hangman v Swerve v Joe
- Impending MJF return
- Mercedes to lose belts and rebound
- Acclaimed eventually getting back on the same page
- Bullet Club Gold at full force

Honestly, the face vs face dynamic of Stat vs. Hayter makes me think that a triple threat is coming. Would it be too weird to have both world titles defended in triple threats?

I'm surprised that its Hayter getting the shot. I feel like all signs had been pointing towards Thekla.
December 15, 2025 at 3:00 AM
They just set up a title match with Hayter, who is from the UK. It would be incredibly odd for that feud to not be developed further while they are in England.

I assume that more will be announced soon. If I had to guess, Hayter in a match with Stat on commentary.

That's really interesting trivia. Thank you!

I didn't know this story. Who canceled? Whose missing date gave us this joyous man on my tv every week? I want to write them a thank you email.
December 13, 2025 at 4:25 AM
Possibly. But I can't think of a storyline reason to have him return at a time where FTR is involved in another feud. Whatever he does next will be revenge for what they did to Beth.

Cool. So I was right to think you are trash. That's vindication.
December 12, 2025 at 8:02 PM
To be clear, I acknowledged that I replied while believing you were being serious. Considering how few people on the internet will admit being wrong, do you really think being a dick about it was the right reply?

I appreciate the clarification. But I was on a roll.

I keep forgetting that BlueSky wrestling fans aren't the same awful FB wrestling fans 😆

a title shot from Okada that Don can't prevent. Meanwhile, Fletcher feels betrayed by both of them bc he lost his TNT title on that same card and they were too pre-occupied with each other to help him. He also enters the Continental Classic and beats Okada in the 1st match. Story still being told.
December 12, 2025 at 7:23 PM
...Okada tries to play mind games by convincing Kyle Fletcher to be HIS friend and partner while Takeshita was away. Okada no shows a tag title match until after bell-time and attacks Takeshita during that match. Don clearly favors Okada this whole time. Takeshita enters Continental Classic to earn
December 12, 2025 at 7:22 PM
...Takeshita, to prevent himself from dishonoring his commitment to Don Callis, goes to Japan for competition so he can cool his head and be away from his aggressor. Takeshita wins IWGP World title, Okada's previous claim to fame. Takeshita returns to AEW as tensions increase. Okada attacks again...
December 12, 2025 at 7:20 PM
...Takeshita remains honorable despite growing tension. Okada intentionally pushes Takeshitas buttons attempting to incite violence. Takeshita refuses. Okada keeps "accidentally" attacking Takeshita in tag matches. Takeshita doesnt take the bait. Okada clearly intentionally attacks....

Did you just say AEW doesn't tell stories?
- Kenny Omega brings Konosuke Takeshita into AEW. Takeshita joins Don Callis family and helps Don against Kenny. Callis grows the ranks by adding Kyle Fletcher, who becomes Takeshitas friend and partner. Callis signs Okada, a threat to Takeshitas spot....

...Toni says she had to prove that shes better than Mariah at everything, including stealing Toni Storms schtick, Mariah cant get out of Tonis shadow even as champ, Toni overcomes to reclaim her rightful spot. All of that and I didn't mention the elements from the love triangle with Mina.
