The first 4 drawing were less complicated and took less time to complete, for the second half it was the opposite. I wouldn’t have been able to draw this much details from the start.

When I started these drawings I wasn’t trying to draw the space at scale, I simply wanted to draw an urban space with the help of a picture: to render a “Montreal space” for a comic. As things progressed my drawings looked more like the original reference.

C’est une ancienne usine désaffectée à l’intersection de la rue st-ambroise et st-rémi, au bord du canal Lachine. Le panneau five-roses est sur une structure similaire au vieux port.
