Yo Adam, hang on in there, it gets better. Anyway, now seemed a good time to say thanks for all your efforts and dedication.

And, as for music's healing qualities, I found singing along to the chorus of this one at Jeffrey's gig to be cathartic youtu.be/KiZ5aPlvnNU?...

Keep up the good work yall

Another great one Phil - looking forward to hearing about the unexpected surprises in the remaining carts too. Surely we'll get a HCH2 cart this year? Have my fingers crossed!

That chu chu song sounded like Robyn Hitchcock to me (to give yall an REM connection)

The arctic monkeys broke through in a 4 year stint where life got in the way of following new music for me (caring, new parenthood and then single parenting) so I never really clicked with them. It'll be interesting to hear you guys talking about music from your formative years, rather than mine.

Oh, and you discussion of the new Beatles films reminded me of when Mike Mills got roped into the backbeat band supergroup back in the 90s. Superb

Will be interested to hear what's next. Really enjoyed hearing the REM season (my favourite band) and have been dipping into the Radiohead and newer eps too and still finding them fun. Looking forward to discovering what yall are tackling next.

Great ep. Loved the smell like honey hysterics.

Weirdly, the Collapse into Now videos were the main things that stuck with me from that record until I revisited it alongside you guys.

The pissing horse...

REM are a bit underappreciated as a covers band tbh. See also First we take manhatten, the passenger, sponge and whitchita lineman.

They were certainly a gateway for me to VU, Patti and Leonard Cohen, for which I'll always be grateful.

If ambient music is your bag and you love REM, then yep, I get why you'd have a soft spot for it.

Would it make a list of your fave ambient tracks?

(actually, I should explore more ambient music, but dunno where to start)

Ah, fair play for sticking to your guns - and it'd be boring if everyone thought the same.

By contrast having I've been High as your number 1 is very cool - it's one of their career highlights imo.

Looking forward to Fruity organ being confirmed their all eras no 1

Adam's 10... Blimey

I was surprised going through the albums - there's great stuff there, but so much meh.

Even still, picking the likes of Airportman and Hallelujah over much of the other stuff feels wilfully obtuse.

Interesting lists to be sure.

Definitely a cool ep. Interested that Blue and Marlon brando got some love - they're my hll on this album. Ending their career with an inferior country feedback/reheated (much worse) e-bow was a real shame. It was their time/had a good innings etc.

Amazing band.

Yeah, I think "All the best" would have been a great closer.

I get what they were trying to do with the fadeout/in to discoverer, but it doesn't really work - feels tacked on.

And while it would have given the game away, segueing into Radio free Europe would have been more them.
