I agree and I still believe, at least part of it, is because of the amount of choice nowadays. Just like it's happening to games.

And that's just the ones airing on TV, most are classified as ONA due to being released on Crunchy/Netflix and leaving out movies and OVAs.

There's a lot of anime coming out. 49 TV shows this season compared to 29 same season 10 years ago.
Not all are bangers granted but there's enough to satisfy each niche so the need to discuss what's "worth watching" is mostly gone.

It took me until learning those facts that the only reason I had anxiety over the Blue Spheres special stages was because I always played the game 5% faster.

ngl I think there's some sauce when in the actual base raids.
S&D game mode with respawns and the round doesn't end when detonate/defuse has something going for it, unfortunately those are like 5 minutes in 25+ mins matches.
