Just in: Following three hours of public testimony, the Palm Desert City Council voted 4-1 to take no action on a call by Mayor Pro Tem Joe Pradetto to roll back the city's formal recognition of LGBTQ Pride Month and revisit its broader diversity policy. We'll have a full story shortly.

The City Council unanimously approved the program on Thursday, allocating $50,000 annually from the city's animal services fund to cover the cost of spaying and neutering up to four animals per household at no charge to residents.
