We're not bad people, we're just sick. We can get better, and many of us will, but it's a long and turbulent process and it won't get better overnight. We feel things in the extreme, and no, we can't always control our impulses. We need you, but we're terrified to need you, because you'll leave.

You're afraid to bring up these concerns because everyone is going to leave you if you do. They're going to leave you if you don't too. You will be left all alone, you are nothing, you are worthless, you are empty. Constantly stuck in this loop of anger, shame and emptiness.

If you're suffering or struggling with BPD, people look at you differently, you're treated differently, because you need to be, but you don't see it that in the moment. They treat you differently because they hate you, they don't like you as much as others, they feel bad for you, etc.

The issue with BPD is that this isn't always possible, at least in my experience. We might be able to resist the spiral one moment and then get swept up by it the next. We literally have to be on guard 24/7 to avoid it. It's exhausting.

I just got diagnosed with it myself recently after years. It explains a lot, but man, what a cunt of an illness. Like just let me be a little more normal today than I was yesterday, that's all.
