A recent Zillow article says the Boston housing market is estimated to do well against other cities this year. Despite its high cost, Boston ranks 16th out of 50 cities surveyed with a valuation gain of a 4.7 last year and a projected 2.1 this year.

January tax bills have gone out in the city of Boston and they've left many residents in shock. It's my estimation that this and the overall rise in the cost of living will create an unfortunate new shift in home ownership, with many elderly residents choosing to move on, when and where they can.
