An excerpt from my journal:
The hardest lesson I had to learn this year is that sometimes we really are just collateral damage in someone else's growing pains - caught in the crossfires while they're at war with themselves. And while we want to believe in some karmic justice dishing them out their comeuppance, often that just does not come to be. The reality is that they can grow & mature, be better & happier. Healing isn't about accepting their apology or their presence in your life, it's about allowing yourself to make peace with this fact.
