Americans are accustomed to advanced warning before violent thunderstorms.

That will have to change if this trajectory doesn't.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service confirmed the presence of the “bird flu” virus in four rats submitted for testing. All of the rats were found in Riverside, California.
