Oregon AG Rayfield: Huge win at this moment in our democracy right now.

This is the president that is normalizing the use of the United States military in our country.

So to get this strong of a ruling out today for the public to see—it’s incredibly important.

My worst fear is that we have barely scratched the surface of what ICE has been doing.

A WILD ONE: A man broke his leg during an arrest by ICE at a car wash south of L.A.

ICE has held him under 24/7 guard at a hospital, registering him under a pseudonym, for *37 days* without telling him why.

A judge has ordered his immediate release.

Donald Trump: Charlie Kirk "did not hate his opponents. He wanted the best for them. That's where I disagree with Charlie. I hate my opponent, and I don't want the best for them."

In 2023, Kirk called for the execution of Joe Biden.

They are privatizing Medicare, which means they will profit off denial of coverage. Say no to the GOP or face loss of insurance.

I expected things to get very stupid, but I’m not sure I expected things to get this stupid this quickly.

One of those research findings that intuitively seems obvious and yet is much better (well, in this case 'better' means 'quite chilling given the political situation') to have analysed with actual evidence.

I recall during the police data initiative so many officers had Fitbits.

I think wearables are going to surge more than ever with police, see also Meta glasses.

My new @science.org editorial on the role of scientists in defending democracy is out today. As authoritarianism takes hold in the US, we must fight for the democratic principles that enable a free society and scientists have a key role. I hope you'll join us.
