I've had a baguette for a meal before. Tends to happen accidentally. (I love a good baguette.)

It's a brain drain, security risk, and quality concern all at once. You still need people who know how to design and write code.

Not to mention the risk that you're introducing to your codebase by malevolent actors who might want to compromise the training data or LLM algorithm to inject backdoors or other unwanted behaviors into your codebase.

Not to mention that it might have hidden side effects that are actually bad. Maybe it leaks resources. Maybe it corrupts data. Maybe it has a race condition. Maybe it doesn't handle a certain rare case. Maybe it has weak security.

If you want to later extend it or need to debug it, you now have to spend extra effort figuring out how it works in the first place. It's as good as a black box.

If you need to write a script or a tool, and you can get the AI to spit one out for you, you have no deep knowledge about its internal workings. You can analyze it but that's a different skill set and can take a back seat to the drive to just get results fast.
