Here is my homemade Advent wreath. My husband and I enjoy the journey through the weeks,as each candle is lit,until the culmination of the center one representing Christ's coming. Merry Christmas to all who celebrate.

I saw the sweetest thing today. My husband had a doctor's appointment, and Santa was in the waiting room giving out candy canes to the children. One little girl gave him a hug afterwards. With the crazy world we live in, it was nice to see there is still some joy and goodness around.

When Jimmy Carter was elected President, the country had just been through a difficult time. Nixon had resigned over Watergate, Ford had pardoned him, and it created a lot of tension. Carter showed that honesty and decency could be restored to the Presidency.
