“One’s work may be finished someday, but one’s education never.”—Alexandre Dumas
Right wing media, of course, is eager to push the false notion of ICE and regular police being under the same rubric with no real distinction between the two. They want their audience to think that too, but that doesn’t mean Democrats have to buy this.

How one couches things is very important, especially when you have an electorate that is largely deficient at critical thinking and gets its news from Facebook. Words matter.

Some of the stuff he refers to in his Truth Social posts is clearly outside the mainstream of the right-wing media machine and he wouldn't be aware of it unless one of his minions called it to his attention.

Whatever happened to “sticks and stones”, etc?

That’s spot-on, Dana—the guardrails that prevented catastrophe in Trump 1 are gone, plus he is now further emboldened by the SC granting him immunity. That’s something that probably few voters, thinking they would see a redux of Trump 1, took into account in 2024.

He’s a MAGA apologist, if not an outright ally. It took him two weeks to say anything about the ICE raids and when he did he put out this both-sides palaver which still affixed most of the blame on the victims.

I hope he wins re-election, but I no longer think of him as presidential timber anymore.

Wow, that’s interesting! I guess every team has a nemesis (for the Penguins, it’s the Islanders).

I hadn't considered that, but it's quite possible, Dana. Definitely food for thought.

Alas, he got a little greedy. He could have dinked and dunked his way into field goal range.

Admittedly, neither Schumer nor Jeffries excel at trenchant comebacks, but if oratory was the only thing that mattered, by that logic Trump would never have won two elections.

Amazing how he completed that pass falling away and across his body.

They must have hired Arthur Smith in the past week.

Tantamount to injecting Crisco in your veins. I cringe just watching it!

I was wondering why I couldn’t see the ball, I thought it was me!

The idea of Bessent disparaging other people’s toughness is truly risible.
January 19, 2026 at 12:07 AM
What’s that have to do with the price of eggs?
January 18, 2026 at 11:49 PM
I feel the same way about the Steelers. They’d lose much of their essence if they ever moved to a domed stadium.

It’s the Babylon Bee level of wit . . . 🙄

As frustrated as I get with Fetterman, Joe Lieberman was worse.
