How one couches things is very important, especially when you have an electorate that is largely deficient at critical thinking and gets its news from Facebook. Words matter.

Some of the stuff he refers to in his Truth Social posts is clearly outside the mainstream of the right-wing media machine and he wouldn't be aware of it unless one of his minions called it to his attention.

That’s spot-on, Dana—the guardrails that prevented catastrophe in Trump 1 are gone, plus he is now further emboldened by the SC granting him immunity. That’s something that probably few voters, thinking they would see a redux of Trump 1, took into account in 2024.

He’s a MAGA apologist, if not an outright ally. It took him two weeks to say anything about the ICE raids and when he did he put out this both-sides palaver which still affixed most of the blame on the victims.

Admittedly, neither Schumer nor Jeffries excel at trenchant comebacks, but if oratory was the only thing that mattered, by that logic Trump would never have won two elections.
