Nitroplasts? A marine algae (eukaryote!) has this neat little organelle to FIX nitrogen for itself. Like chloroplasts or mitochondria, another example of endosymbiosis (moving in & becoming inseparably one w/your host). Wouldn't it be cool if food crops could do this?

One of our favorite places to walk is George Washington’s Mount Vernon. Other dogs are leashed, there’s lots of room for practicing calm near livestock, and some of those wooden benches are perfect for hupping up. Also, Mrs. Washington is very kindly toward canine visitors.
