Sounds great I have an asus in mind. Had a meeting with the scholarship counselor today and had to drop the certifications from the funding plan because they don’t think the 2 year program is enough to pass the exams. I’m just going to pay for it out of pocket. Most jobs I see require security+ cert

Thank you for sharing all of this. I found a part time SOC job that requires no experience.

for me regarding cybersecurity and their experience as a professional in an “information interview” type format? Or if you know anyone that would be willing to help a recently enrolled student justify grant funding. I have to interview a certain number of people. Thank you very much! Happy holidays!

I’ve been telling my brother that we need to put together a AI defense system in the future or some type of assisted system. I bet soon you’ll need it implemented some way.

Would you be okay with listing like some black and white info for me to present,l such as professional title, education, certificates or anything related to Cysec. I understand if you cannot. Thank you for answering my q’s? Would you know anyone else that would be willing to do answer some q’s? Ty!

I didn’t know that would be a choice this is great to know. Best defense is a great offense, right?

Yes! That’s great advice, from what I’m gathering online I see that it’s mostly self motivation, determination, and mind set to do well in this field.

4) located in Fort Collins, CO. Defcon, I’ll research any groups in my area. Thank you. This is great I have to submit some “interviews” to support my grant.

5) Yea I am looking into something that will last me another 4 years at least. I have an acer nitro 5 right now that’s lasted about 5 years just not sure if a more advanced mode would be required. Could potentially be approved for a $800 fund for school towards a new computer.

Thank you I’ll look those up and see what I can find. A grant I am applying for is asking me to submit a number of entry level jobs I can do and acquire finishing the program. I’ll definitely look into these as well.

Got it, is there any online mods or people you recommend I follow or subscribe too?

A friend told me that the Udemy-Python is how they learned the basics to start projects. Is this a good place to start looking into training mods or is there something that you would recommend? Thank you.

4) Are there any projects, groups, or organizations that I can get involved in at an entry level that you know of?

5) Should I prioritize a new computer system while going to school or just use what I have?

6) What would you recommend to me as a beginner candidate for Cyber Security? Thank you!!

3) I have done light research on the job market and most jobs require higher education such as 4+ years of schooling. I would like to get my foot in and work while going to school for a BA in cysec after my 2 year program. Do you know of any intern opportunities or entry level jobs?

2) I’m planning on doing independent study like a udemy python course during summer breaks or during school depending on how it feels. Is there any other language you would recommend I prioritize for cysec?

Thank you for relying. My current plan is to go through the program and take CompTIA Sec+, Cloud+, and Cloud Essentials when I real comfortable. I’m receiving a grant to pay for 2 certifications. With a 2 year associates in cysec would that be enough to take CompTIA CySa+?
