I've tried explaining this to people, but, I think unless you've worked in one of these labs, people just can't understand it.

Sometimes despite our best decontamination efforts, things accidentally hitch a ride out of the lab. 😭

You can barely afford the premium, and you definitely cannot afford the very high deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums.

I think in the short term, they definitely need to extend the subsidies.

And then both sides need to figure out a new system, because this is not working.

The premiums in the marketplace are catastrophically high, and are bankrupting people.

Unfortunately, and a lot of people don't know this, the open enrollment window was shortened in the BBB that was recently passed.

We have to choose our plans by December 15th.

And, given how glitchy the Marketplace website is, it needs to be done now.

There is only one plan that I can reasonably afford (definitely can't afford the $4,200 deductible with the plan though 🤣), and unfortunately it doesn't cover any out-of-state care for my rare diseases.

I should also rig up a way so that I can turn mine on/off with my phone too, so I can enjoy them.

I don't plug them in now, because it's a hassle in my current physical state.

I do have the Philips hue lights though, and those I can control with my phone.

I just make sure to keep it capped when it's not in use. It does get really annoying to cap and uncap it.

When I'm done drinking liquids, I will put a different N95 on that doesn't have the sip port in it.
