Unfortunately, the Republicans have been using voter suppression and gerrymandering for a long time. It’s obviously has been increasing but the numbers wouldn’t have made a significant impact. People voted based on feelings and misunderstanding of causation/correlation.

I’m not sure if it’s available but check out Nextdoor. Set up an event at a popular location (coffee shop?) and meet the people in your area. The people running local elections in my area went door to door.
