Can we start applying the “ Theseus Ship Theory “ to modern day religion ? We have put sooo much into these religious text while also taking out so much more to fit whatever narrative we want to push at the time

Sorry – the killing of Charlie Kirk was wrong, but having his body flown on Air Force 2, flags at half-mast, having him lie in state, putting a statute of him in the Capitol, and giving him a Presidential Medal of Freedom are all entirely inappropriate.

The Jesus that white American worships, and the Jesus that’s in the Bible must be two different people. There’s no way you actually think you’re following his teachings, while justifying racism while condemning the poor.

Today feels heavy, the Charlie Kirk situation is annoying. Does anyone deserve to be killed ? Mostly no, but it’s just annoying when empathy is only extended if you’re a certain race. The same people who laugh and mock George Floyd’s murder. He became a product of the hate he was spreading.
