I don’t know. But I think Gemini 3 could.

Prediction: Moderate Dems will join Fetterman and fund the CR on November 2 once the new health care rates are posted. People will see how expensive health care will be and they will say they did everything they could but Reps are responsible because they wouldn’t negotiate. We have 3 more weeks.

It took a long time for humans to get to Hawai’i because it is the most isolated land in the world. Kanaka had to create major voyaging technology (that Europeans had not developed yet) to get there. Hawai’i was the last land where people settled. Petroglyphs will obviously be older in Australia.

The biggest downside to this is that it increases the likelihood of a war. Think about what happened to Germany in the 30s when their economy tanked. If I remember correctly, Germans weren’t the only people who suffered from that. We all have a peace and security interest in shared prosperity.

Has Trump officially withdrawn the US from NATO? He has taken steps but I think it is still ambiguous whether Trump would feel compelled to defend a NATO ally. A friend believes he already withdrew, with no ambiguity, in January. Thoughts?

The Marbury Court “preserved its power” by siding with the Executive Branch in that case.

No precedent for what happens if POTUS goes to war with the judiciary and doesn’t agree to comply with anything the Court says or does. Marbury only preserved the court’s power over pro-democracy Presidents.

September will be worse. Now that Republicans know that Dems won’t put up a fight the Republican Freedom Caucus will demand much, much more from future spending bills. Get ready for a bill in September that completely defunds the Department of Education. Schumer just dug his own grave.

Dem Senators need to get a spine, vote no on cloture, and fight like hell to save Medicaid and prevent the next recession.

A dominant Republican Party and a submissive Democrat Party -that backs down when life gets hard- is terrible for working people, the country, and the free world. 🇺🇸

Voting for cloture is voting for the cuts, not the promises.

Trump doesn’t care about what Congress funds, he cuts what he wants.

If Dems vote with Reps to cut Medicaid and other programs, Trump will say “Dems are all talk. They whine to their base but agree with Republicans. Watch the votes.”
