Thanks for sharing -- at the moment, we capture any post that has a doi, links to a pdf, is from a large list of urls of journals/publication hosts, or has some "paper announcement" patterns. Newspaper links are a mistake; please send them to us!

Update: we kept generic ".pdf" links to capture the long tail of papers, but now exclude courtlistener and other popular court case websites. let us know if there are other exclusions to explicitly consider adding!

Because Skygest currently picks up all pdfs, we know we include court cases and legal discussion. We are considering explicitly excluding such posts (e.g., courtlistener links). Please reply if you have a strong opinion in either direction or have other common false positives that we should exclude

Also -- if you'd like to continue using Skygest while having your data omitted from our research, that's totally possible! We'd still need to store some limited data about you in order to keep the feed working, but wouldn't include it in any analyses. Just let us know your preference :)

We've noted your Bluesky ID to remove your data from our dataset! For future reference for others, unfortunately Bluesky doesn't tell us when someone has pinned/unpinned the feed so we can't use that.

Thanks! yeah to reduce false negatives we currently include any pdf, which does unfortunately pick up judicial rulings. If there are specific urls that you can share that are commonly judicial rulings, happy to exclude them specifically!
