Literally had all the ingredients in my fridge for this, but we hung with locals and I got a steak salad with no Fries (PA) got fries. It's fine. Fun night. The steak was great. He ate the fries.

Been off killer with a sinus infection. Made soup, did the Irish goodbye at the one thing I went to. Spent chill time with family and Siggy. Pick your choices carefully. Do that if it keeps you whole. You don't have to impress anyone except yourself. Do that. Have a good week kids.

I am a Patriot and Red Sox fan in PA. Grew up in CT. Watching Pats and Bills on Peacock right now. We rarely get that here. I'm enjoying it! My next door cottage owner lives in Orchard Park and is at the game as of coursea Bills fan. Lol. One degree of separation.

The next few months at the library will be interesting. Fed funding cuts, PA budget angst, all other angst...All the "Everything will work out" talk is going to hit the proverbial fan perhaps. I wait, thinking of my life and it's impact. Economically, no. Emotionally, 100%.

We watched Hunters are for Killing tonight. It is a hokey 1970 movie starring a young Burt Reynolds. The soundtrack overpowered it all. But, this clip features my cousin Mary (Jill Banner). She ended up in the cop car at the end. Nice to see her.

My granddaughter is 5 tomorrow. I drove to meet her during Covid. Weird vibe and she is amazing. Saw her in Boston last week. Sent a happy birthday video for her for the morning. Treasure that.

My Dad was on a light ship on the Outer Banks in the 1950s in the Coast Guard rescuing people in wooden boats. He was from South Dakota. Life is life.

The grandsons and I do a McDonald's date day once a month. Been doing it for a decade with the 12 year old. The 7 year old loves it too. We went today to sit inside (required). Short staffed the 12 year old finally went to the kiosk and ordered like he has worked there for years. 1st time using it.

I may have talked a trumper down. Odd bar talk. He watched my friend and as I talked. I eventually engaged him. Felt him cave to morality and get off fox and CNN. Weird but good quietly. On we go. Forgiveness? I felt that.

I am off tomorrow. No job, word games, hanging with my husband and a cat. Sleep in. I'll meet the grandkids at the bus because I can. They are getting older, don't need me, but I'm doing it. They like it.

Took our storytimers out to collect leaves and talked about this stairway to nowhere. A huge house had been there, but burned down a century ago. Imagination creates a story in the mind. Where do you think they go? A portal, a secret bunker, a time machine? 🤔
