It's snowing and 10-12 inches expected. The wind gusts at 50? Really. Yes. Thank you Lake Erie in PA being part of a Thanksgiving bingo card. Ugh. The snow and wind gusts are here. Heats on, all good.😭

Be thankful. I am thankful for you that reach out. Happy Thanksgiving.

Busy day with our Stone Soup Project. Bought so much food to help support our cause. Trying to stock up because lake effect snow in late November/December apparently is going to be a thing. With donations, we may be good for 6 weeks. I love our people. It's snowing now. Happy Thanksgiving kids.

Our Stone Soup Project got a very generous donation on Monday. My husband and I went shopping at Aldi and Walmart today. We are able to fund meals through the third week of January. There are many definitions of heavy lifting. We are blessed.

My work week is done. Going to buy things for our food program. The morning before the lake effect slams us later tomorrow. Going to visit our favorite bartender on the way home, tuck our shopping in and Thanksgiving visit a mile away. Then reading, snow outside, who cares for 2 days. Cat too.

Storytime was fun today. Made fake turkey dinner, read 2 books, did the Turkey Hokey Pokey. Fit 10 kids and their parents and grandparents in our castle room.

I almost missed this today. It connects everything and everyone! One of my favorites.

We started watching Frankenstein and stopped after an hour. It's long and we were tired. Reviews talked about staying true to the original novel. I downloaded it on Libby and read through Chapter 4 today. I agree. It has Oscar potential. I've never watched a movie and read concurrently. I like it.

My house is warm, new windows and that's my thanksgiving.
November 23, 2025 at 3:09 AM
Windows almost done. We went to a different lake in NY for the dayas our contractor kept working. Had some great wings, went to a charming antique shop. He will do 2 hours of inside trim tomorrow while I watch football at my kids house. It all makes me appreciate my home more.

Kept checking in with contractor. We left at 8:20, finally got home after they finished to let Siggy in at 4. She watched them all day from under the deck. She came in. I have windows to protect us from Winter finally since 1942. Our original windows. Gave out 35 meals to our community
Good day.

Contractor called me at 6 pm and asked if he could put my new windows in tomorrow morning at 8 am. Of course I said yes, but had to move my entire kitchen and part of my living room. I'll never find it all again.

Watching American Revolution and our goal is to identify the narrator reading quotes. Okay we are dorks, may be nerds.

Went to a local restaurant with a friend, sat near the fireplace and we read silently next to each other for an hour. Starting a thing for local readers in our tiny little rural town. I was reading Finding the Mother Tree. She was reading The Emperor of Gladness. We talked about it after. Nice.

Overwhelmed by our project. Did a lot of work after my library job. I love our community. Tomorrow at 7 a friend and I are doing a silent book reading at a local place just to read silently. The yin yang of life matters. Do that where you live. Silence, words, no judgment. Peace.

We got a car trunks worth of Amazon wish list Stone Soup Project items today. Got my 7 and 12 year old grandsons off the bus and we reorganized, opened boxes and they loved it. Those boys are workers. One box had their Mom's donations and they loved it. I am so proud of them and their efforts.

Spent the day opening Amazon boxes from our Stone Soup Project wishlist. Wow! Just wanted to cry, seeing all the support from afar. We gave out 4 Meals in a Bag to people who touched base, then a random person saw my car parked, handed me green beans. Every day, an adventure of love.

In the big world someone reached out to do a thing. Book lovers. We are going to do a one hour silent reading in a local restaurant this week. The yin/yang. Legit. I didn't have that on my bingo card, but I will. Rural PA.

Karaoke with my kid then hanging with her 30-40 year old friends. Good people. Makes me appreciate choices my kids make in life. Everyone hugged me when I left. My emotional well is full.
