Believe it or not I actually quite enjoy games like this, the only problem is I'm WAY too jumpy and easily startled to play them (trauma will do that)but playing it with @drspookyburger.bsky.social and @solitaryscribbles.bsky.social and @vastebottom.bsky.social was a really wonderful time.

This is my first Christopher Moore book and it was a fun time! Its funny and the plot is enjoyable and interesting and I think it has a lot of interesting things to say. The beginning and last third were the best parts. Only problem is sometimes everyone is a dick, including Jesus. He met a Yeti tho

Prettttty damn good. I had to learn to stop thinking of these in terms of 'modern' mystery books where you're supposed to be able to figure out the case yourself. That's just not possible in any of these stories, but once I got over that I started having a really good time.

So I saw a really good episode of TNG that made me realize I have NEVER read a Sherlock Holmes book and made them look fun, so I'm working my way through those. I enjoyed the adventure and the characters (of course) but the second half of this book is a fucking TRIP. Good shit. Excited for more.

Here's an obscure one I really liked. Its about a shitty local theater company doing a shitty kids musical. It does this really cool narrative thing where every chapter follows a different character and their perspective and I thought that was great. You really grow to love these people.

Like I said, I LOVED the original short story for 'The Black Phone' so I figured I should read the damn book. Also VERY good. Some stories are better than others but good over all (sometimes the stories just end though which is annoying.) Joe Hill has chops

So this concludes what was supposed to be the original trilogy and I can totally see why. If this WAS the last book in the series, I would be really satisfied with everything. Its funny and give Trillian way more to do which was nice. Probably my second favorite in the series so far.

Also very good! I don't think its near as good as the first book (or the third) but its still a damn good time with lots of fun ideas and great scenes. One thing I never noticed is how good the actual prose in the writing is and how much of the humor comes from that. Good shit.

I haven't read this since I was in middle school and I thought I would reread it and tackle the rest of the series proper. Its still fantastic after all these years. Looking back; reading this when I did probably had a huge impact on me in a lot of different ways. Still peak.

So I read 'The Black Phone' original short story YEARS ago and really loved it, and with learning a sequel was coming out, I figured it was time to finally watching and I REALLY loved it. Idk man, something about it just really connected with me. I love the vibe and the plot.

So I fucking LOVE The Sentry and his original mini-series, so I was gonna like this. But I'm surprised how much I liked it and how I think I even liked it more than FF. That ending sequence was really cool and fun and clearly the best part of the movie. It just turned into Psychonauts for 30 minutes

See I actually fuck with this hard cause I think what its doing with metaphors and perspective is really interesting. It seems like a "reddit atheist" movie at first but theres a lot more interesting stuff going on under the hood. Plus it was the most my parents ever wanted to talk about an art film

Lupin the Third but for furries and ya know what; I liked it! Its not gonna be a game changer or reinvent the wheel (honestly I predicted every plot beat) but its still a fun time. I don't think a movie needs to be groundbreaking to be good and kids would dig this. Good car chases too.

People are mad about this one but...Idk man I liked it. Maybe I'm just DESPERATE to see Jason in stuff again but I liked it. The new Jason design is growing on me.
