The Beatles's Anthology comes to mind. It's super interesting to see how these songs evolved into the full albums and the interplay between the Fab Four but I would never rank it alongside Abbey Road or Sgt. Peppers because that's not the intent of Anthology as a release.

I might just be a purist in this regard but I don't rank B-sides. To me, it's about the intent of a release and while B-sides/rarities can enhance an album/artist's overall discography, I think they should be viewed as supplemental rather than full artistic statements.

I want to do a lot of things with myself but I'm always going to be saddled with the burdens of being born male.

Part of this might be rigid thinking on my part. I'm not always entirely sure what my identity means to me. I know that I'm not male but to what end, I'm still not sure.

There is the idea of my own gender working against the body that everyone is dealt with. I want to be able to do what I want to do with my appearence. It's mind over matter but matter and circumstance is preventing me and while I can make concessions, it's always going to be coming up short, for me.
