Nah, not a bug, just me being an dope. This is what should happen if you turn off your quantum drive while in the wormhole. The catch with it happening, is that it will spit you out in a completely random spot somewhere in whatever system you were in. I was still in Nyx when i popped out.

What happened was I switched back to SCM mode, which shut off the quantum drive, thusly kicking me out of the wormhole. I meant to switch back to the view from inside the cockpit. lol

I found a better location to contemplate poor Yorick.
