17 yrs ago a student in my local history class found this newspaper reprint of a letter a GI wrote home in #WWII. Recently we reconnected and I asked about the letter, which they still had. Its take on why fight is so prescient in #2025. Worth zooming in for sure.

I’m not seeing IRL evidence of medias narrative of Dems demoralized. Dismayed by moves like that at Facebook, bracing for mass deportations, being strategic about how they use their energy, etc.

Just realized that I’m profoundly tired of watching creators of all types running themselves ragged bending before algorithms like they are the inscrutable God of the Old Testament as companies outsource all risk onto people who actually do the work. I feel their exhaustion.

Is anyone else having the urge to organize in your personal life before things start hitting the fan on ‘Day One’? Like your gut knows that you’re not going to have the bandwidth to deal with those piles of papers or whatever in a few weeks? Akin to the end-of-pregnancy nest-making impulse?
