I mean, it's the same mechanism as a CPU. They're all little springs and not straight pins. I would think it would last fine considering it's going to have one insertion cycle for its entire lifetime.

Sometimes this prevents the Play Store from showing me other application updates since there is no manual refresh.

It's a little fucking stupid because it also charges via the USB-C port in addition to the 20-volt barrel jack.
So if it's running on battery and your laptop is good enough, it thinks the laptop is a power source and will not work. It has to be plugged into barrel jack to function with some laptops
