1. Köp de sista hyllvärmarna, snälla
2. Rimligt pris 100 kr, ordinarie pris 150 kr, reapris 105 kr.

In Sweden it is called "fattiga riddare", literally poor knights.

Ok odds.

Sweden decided in 1700 to convert to the Gregorian calendar by skipping leap days, expecting the world to recognize our brilliance and follow suit (nope).

Then we forgot to do this change in 1704 & 1708. We then went back to the Julian calender by adding February 30 in 1712 (a 367 day year).

I can definitely find you a set of reasonably impressive moose antlers[1], and possibly a taxidermied moose head. Shipping[2] not included.

You can claim "male jackalope, they are bigger than the females" for free.

[1] One of the few times "impressive rack!" is an ok expression

I didn't really see this until I got to grad school, and saw these relics haunting offices spaces and seminars; with more of a comment than a question.

I disagree. We have automated a lot of the boring stuff, and what is left is edge cases. There are not typists, transcriptionists, people typing numbers into a sheet anymore. The stuff that’s left is tricky and nuanced. In the real world, at least. bsky.app/profile/sara...
My uni and many others have tried to centralize and automate many administrative functions. What happens is that the expertise is moved out of the department and then the rest of us suckers are left to learn to become admins and deal with all the edge cases. Such has been the last 6 yrs of my life

I know someone who was born in September. The 11th of September to be exact...

There are over 17 thousand TLAs to choose from, and we still end up with this kind of confusion. Annoying!

And now we can add the "blood type predicts personality" pseudoscience to this mix of confusion?

And those are the good people that keep society working.

Not the "I'm an alpha male, even my underwear has molle, and I'm always prepared to kill to protect what is mine". Those are just assholes.

I was really confused at first when I saw A/B/O dissed here. I mean, the most well known blood group system is fairly well documented, and while only a part of the picture it is accurate as such.

I naturally had to duckduck it[1]. Do we have to have humans *everywhere*?

[1] It is a form of self harm, possible less damaging than cutting myself. Possibly. At least sometimes.
