NYT is definitely guilty of laundering horrible ideas, but does Stephens even count as a "reasonable" conservative? His arguments are consistently evil, mean-spirited, and bad faith. I'm saying this as a socialist who sometimes enjoys Brooks and Douthat. Stephens just brings *nothing* to the table

completely done with Amazon. independent bookstores are great, and there's libro.fm for audiobooks. no more kindle books--libby only for now, and then I'll switch to kobo and buy e-books from independent bookstores whenever my kindle dies.
