Not to downplay this at all, because you’re right to be exasperated by the newspaper and/or reporter’s complete tone-deafness, but it is an article from The Telegraph - a known conservative rag here in the U.K. 🤦‍♂️ Not quite as bad as the Daily Mail (scumbags), but bad enough.

Yeeeaah 😬 That should really be “Cockerel” or even better “Rooster”, especially given it’s obviously meant for kids! Does nobody at your place check the suitability of resources *before* buying them? Or at least before putting them out for use?! 😳

Don’t know how good (or if they’re even available) as audiobooks the Discworld series by Terry Pratchett are, but I’d highly recommend them as reading material! They take a little getting into at first, but once he found his stride they’re devilishly funny 😁
