Reading has acquired a purpose, a goal: it may be research, exploration, or keeping up with the trend. In fiction, for instance, it can simply be improving writing abilities and articulation. I remember a time when reading was just that....reading. It did not need a justification.

A more unstable world means more people seeking asylum. Trump has already shown he won't just abandon those needing protection, he will exacerbate the reasons they need it. This is a time when any sensible leader needs to defend human rights and international law, not play politics with them. 3/
