The White House is creating a false narrative about the economy and the mainstream media will run with it. There won’t be much pushback which will re-enforce the narrative and embolden the White House. Unfortunately our media won’t tell the truth or hold anyone accountable.

The problem is that some democrats are actually complicit in the rise of authoritarianism. They turn a blind eye to the corruption of billionaires and corporate capture. Their disagreements are purely performative.

Probably minimal damage. I’m starting to think this is part of the refinery business plan. OPEC increases production and lowers global oil prices then oil companies do something to cause refinery shutdowns and gasoline shortages thereby raising prices at the pump. Rinse and repeat…

2001 was the year our democracy, our freedom, our invincibility was destroyed. In the intervening years we have realized how delicate our democracy is how vulnerable our security is and how divisive our politics has become.

Both died because of their beliefs and their platforms. Both were held up to scrutiny and someone decided they should be silenced. Yes, they were very different but from a certain perspective they were very dangerous.
