The potential of floating solar generation capacity on US reservoirs is estimated at up to 1TW, according to a study from @nationalrenewableenergylab.

The study estimates that the US could add between 861GW to 1,042GWdc of capacity on reservoirs across the country!

A new study found that last year renewables fulfilled 100% of California's electricity demand for up to 10 hours on 98 of 116 days, a record. Not only were there no blackouts, thanks to backup battery power, but at their peak the #renewables provided up to 162% of need.
