I'm sorry. Doesn't Wab Kinew acknowledge it every day? Like, literally every single day?

He does the things that help the women be found. He mourns with their families. He speaks their names.

His actions consistently acknowledge, honour, and draw attention to the issue.

Does he need to say more?

So what does this mean for the announcement that Plenary PCL would build the new QEII expansion?

They have a Canadian office and the president is Canadian, but they seem to have an awful lot of US offices and connections....

This is devastating.

If HRP wants funding, they need to use it for how to handle these situations.

Hint: it doesn't involve guns and tasers.

If the police can't handle it well, then we need a trained team of people who can.

I'm glad they don't. With those sized bags, I'd be the size of two houses!!

It's been horrible! It's not fit to drive after dark!

Between the piss poor street lights (if they exist or work), the non-reflective paint lines, pot holes, and middle age, it's just too rough on tires and rims!

Have you been to Eastern Passage lately?

We are, unfortunately, PC and we are getting no favours for it. Try not to lose your car in one of the four (or more) massive potholes by Pizza Time.

In fact, stay out of the exterior lanes in either direction.

This is the moment where any spine that Rubio had left in his body, disappeared.

Not that I think he really has any spine left before this, but...that's it. It's gone now!

This is an endorsement. Regardless of what he says, we need to understand it as it really is.

"fired generals" = those who have the knowledge and ability to direct soldiers against the domestic terrorists who are leading the coup must be removed to cut the revolution off at the knees

It's important for CBC to have journalists with leanings to any & all of the political parties... coverage shouldn't just be Liberal or Conservative

But it should be balanced. It should have integrity. Journalistic principles should apply

I don't see any of that in what I've seen of this interview
February 17, 2025 at 4:00 PM
I've struggled with the ways people have responded to her interview (aggressive, should smile more, etc) because if a male journalist interviewed like this the take would be different.

But.

She definitely has shown her political stripes for some time now. The last election coverage especially.

The problem isn't the desire of Canadians, it's the elected officials who don't want to risk losing their seat/cushy salary.

Trudeau wanted it, his caucus did not.

I wish more politicians would be open to it.

Seriously! This is such an easy thing to do!!

Looks delicious!! 😋😋

Oh, how I wish I was home ...

He's on his FA stage, come March, the US will be in their FO...

Stacking tariffs? Sure, OK.

If they want to hurt themselves, we can't stop them (even if we wished we could).

This is our time to forge new relationships, build a new economy that's not reliant of the musings of a madman.

Pet Valu's website now has a "Made in Canada" tab with options of dry, wet and raw foods if that's helpful! I just wrote the brand we buy to find out where they import from...

I've had some great & respectful convos about politics with my friends in the US.

However, they understand that Canadian sovereignty is at risk. Even though it would impact them directly, I'd be in favour of shutting the power grid if it comes to it but also welcome them here for safety if needed

His work with CBC also brought Ernie Coombs to Canada from the US, and very little is more Canadian that Mr Dress Up

Oh, I don't know. I could do bootcut jeans again. Maybe actually wear some boots this time...boots with a purpose...I'm feeling the need to kick something 😉

Awesome! I will check it out! Happy to be pulled out of the "oldies" and into new music! My bad for not staying current!
February 10, 2025 at 5:51 AM
Ok, there is truth to that. But when faced with an opportunity to hear something new and to recognize the deeper meaning, I can, as a Gen Xer, appreciate the newer music. I am a new fan. I appreciate when music has deeper meaning.
February 10, 2025 at 4:59 AM
Right? The message under the art spoke more than the music could have...I have a great appreciation for the underlying themes...I may be stuck in the 80s and 90s for music, but when art speaks, I like to listen.

I recognize that I have work to do to further understand, but I was impressed! New fan!
February 10, 2025 at 4:56 AM
LOL...I still listen to 80s & 90s music, but when someone told me about 1 of his songs tonight, I said "OK, cool, I gotta look into this guy, he sounds awesome!".

I might not be up on the modern tunes my kids listen to, but when you share the kind of message an artist shares, I want to know more!

In this moment, we have a unique viewpoint of the world. But I'm not sure any of us who could "claim" Elon wants to 😉
