My 17yo son just got a record and a CD and wants a CD player. He’s looking at the liner notes. Looking at the album art. Touching the art, the music, the artist. I love the ease of streaming and the ability to listen to whatever whenever. But physical media is special.

It’s in the context of forgiving someone who asks for forgiveness that the disciples ask for increased faith. Then Jesus uses the mustard seed as an example of the measure of our faith. The mustard seed faith is faith to forgive then when they repent of sin against you.

Often times material blessings lead to spiritual rebellion. It’s only when joy is found in seeking the heart of God that we don’t make idols from what comes from his hand.

Not too difficult or beyond your reach. Choosing a godly life is choosing life abundant. Jesus brings the blessings near.

Woe to the preachers of legalism who add baggages of guilt and condemnation to the weary instead of lightening their load by way of the gospel. It’s easy to pile on the baggage with man-made “holiness”. It’s good to set at liberty those who are bound with holy love.

Pastors and leaders, it’s so easy to get caught up in the preparations for Jesus that we never get caught up in the presence of Jesus. Prioritize time with the Good Shepherd.
