Trying to balance ministry, life, workouts, and Advent planning… and occasionally remembering where I put my coffee.
If you’re juggling too, you’re in good company. #FaithJuggle #Balance #PastorLife

Mark 15 shows Christ standing before Pilate, falsely accused yet silent. Have you faced false judgment? Or spoken condemnation yourself? Lent calls us to examine our hearts, release resentment, and seek forgiveness.

Don’t lose heart. We have to speak out and take action against oppression and injustice.

Death comes to us all. It is sad to see the death of liberty, justice, and inclusion. We need persistence and insistence that our constitution will stand. #takeastand

Noting that Elon Musk attacked the Lutheran Church's work providing services, and that JD Vance attacked Catholic Bishops for their work with immigrants. Fair to say that this administration is one of the most hostile to religion and religious freedom that we have seen in recent memory.

I received some good advice today. It was, “Just breathe!” I will do my best. How about you? #justbreathe

I am discouraged, but not broken.
I am tired, but not exhausted.
I am sad, but not inconsolable.
I have failed, but I’m not a failure. #pastoralhope

Pastoring is hard, especially when others have experienced years of church abusive. Though we bring words of love, others hear us with ears that have heard manipulation, anger, and control. It’s hard work and sometimes, it breaks us. God, help us! #churchhurt

Jesus proclaimed, 'Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing' (Luke 4:21). That same Spirit that anointed Him empowers us to bring good news, freedom, and healing to a world in need. How will you boldly proclaim the hope of Christ this week? #GoodNews #SpiritEmpowered #Luke421

When there is no peace, may we intentionally seek it.

Advent is a season of waiting, but not idle waiting. It’s a time to actively trust in God’s promises, just as Jeremiah 33 reminds us of the righteous King who will bring justice and peace. True hope is not rooted in our circumstances but in the unshakable faithfulness of God.

A congregation member said something I wrote “sounded DEI.” They were concerned. I had to look up the initials. I'm very glad to sound and to be DEI!

God is with us every step of the way. When we feel weary or uncertain, lean into God's promises. “The Lord is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”(Psalm 27:1)” #stronghold #encouragement

Just watched Conclave. An amazing cast, smart writing, and a good twist. There were some slow moments, odd pacing, and some pointless moments. It is still worth watching. #moviereview #conclave

So much anger and divisionagain. Masks vs. No masks. Vaccine vs. no vaccine. Left vs. Right. Separation, discrimination, disafiliation, or isolation are not going to create a loving world.

God’s grace is what allows us to stand confidently in God’s holy presence—not our works, not our perfection, just the never-ending, never-failing love of God. Think about that. The God who made the stars wants us to draw near, not in fear, but in faith.
