Music, theatre, movies, that sort of thing. I’ll try not to be intemperate. Really.
It’s a terrific film.

They were great friends, and Stoppard was an astute reader of Friel‘s work. He went to visit him in Glenties not long before he died.

My nana and grandad were brilliant. I loved them, and I have so much that I’m grateful to them for.

It was a heck of a week, that. La Bohème, a concert of Brahms and Grieg, a Gershwin show, the European premiere of a Wenders film (followed by a Q&A with the man himself), and most of the great museums of London.

So Leopoldstadt was his last play after all (unless there’s work to be published posthumously). Quite a parting shot.

If memory serves (and I would have to check this), the scene in M’s office is followed by Lea Seydoux driving Bond’s car with the kid in the back seat, and she says something like “I want to tell you a story about a man named Bond. James Bond.” And credits.

Not by me, I fear. Is the supplied answer to the Bond question correct, by the way? I seem to recall otherwise.

Back working now.

Thanks, Trevor. I had tried it on a couple of different apps, same thing.

I got it when it came out, and wasn’t quite ready for it. But it really got under my skin. I think it’s astonishing now.
